Maharashtra State board’s current rule says that for 1st Standard admission your child should complete 6 years at least by 30th September of the current academic year. That means a child should complete at least 5 years and 8 months during the start of the session (that is in the month of June). CBSE board follows respective state board rules. However, it is always a good option to enroll in the playgroup after completion of 2 years until 2 years 7 months completed age.
Generally, we do not recommend. In rare instances, you may accompany your child for the initial few days. For the betterment of the child, allow him/her adjust to the new preschool life as early as possible by leaving him/ her in our staff hands.
It is always good if a child knows his/ her mother tongue first, which is most natural and easy for them to express emotions. We can always teach a foreign language (English) through a lot of social interaction which can start in their life from the preschool year onwards.
Talk to your child – a lot. Every child takes his or her own time to capture his or her parent’s language. The only option we have is that we should talk with them a lot from birth onwards or even before when the baby is developing inside the mother’s womb.
Children up to age 2 year do not require socializing. What they need is safety above all other things. Its parent’s responsibility to provide young one secure and playful environment. After completion of 2 years, a preschool environment can facilitate children to socialize as per their wish.
Children up to age 3 years should not be in front of the screen at all. Children from 3 to 6 years can have limited exposure to some good kids programs under parent’s control. We encourage parents to stay away from yourself first from these gadgets (at least when your child is nearby you and demands your attention) and give quality time to your child so that child will never find anything interesting in these lifeless gadgets.
Along with healthy nutrition, play is the most important thing to improve the coordination of your child by improving gross and fine motor skills. It is scientifically proved that infants do not gain a more sophisticated vocabulary until their fine motor finger control improves. All this can be achieved if a child is allowed to play on the ground as much time as possible. Parents can also support a child to play some adventurous games with consideration of his/ her safety.
Children like stories. A parent must tell their child good stories in whichever language (Mother tongue/ English) they are comfortable. Parents should really make significant efforts to make story character live by changing vocal levels, making a lot of actions and even getting the help of other family members to make part of some drama, so that child can enjoy it most. This is a very effective way to develop your child’s imaginative world.
Kids requires your attention. It is their innate ability to learn everything for the innermost basic reason that to survive in this world. Therefore, if your child feels that you are not very keen on his/her little world then he/ she will make everything possible to grab your attention. Sometimes he/ she also want to assess what is exactly wrong and correct to set his/ her own moral.
Certainly. Although we are very much cautious to avoid infections to our young ones. We should always encourage children to play in soil/ mud. There are numerous good bacteria present in the soil, which actually boost a child’s immunity.
