Our Guru Mr. Sameer Kulkarni is a disciple of Shri. Vijay Dastane and Late Pt. Ganpatrao Parvatkar. He is having experience of 15 years of tabla teaching and performing at various musical programs. He is the founder of Omkar Sangeet Vidyalaya, Katraj; working as a music teacher at Gurukul Vidyalay and worked as a music teacher at Sursangam Vidyalaya, Sahakar Nagar, Pune.
He started learning tabla from his guru and renowned tabla artist Shri. Vijay Dastane in the year 1993 and completed the Sangeet Visharad and Sangeet Alankar under his valuable guidance. He got special guidance of “Baldev Sahay parampara of tabla” from Pt. Ganpatrao Parvatkar,( “A” Grade Artist, Dharwad) for 4 years.
He is well-experienced tabla accompaniment to different forms of music such as Indian classical vocal/ instrumental and light music. He is also a tabla solo performer.
He is associated with Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalay as tabla examiner and experienced to conduct tabla exams. Apart from teaching, he is also involved in many activities related to music such as musical workshops, organizing concerts, etc.
He is ready to teach his professional skills to those who are passionate to learn Tabla which is most classical and popular instrument in musical history of India.
